Periodic Table helpppppppppp?
actinide series group alkali metal alkaline earth metal metalloid periodic law atomic mass atomic number noble gas halogen lanthanide series nonmetal period metal transition element periodic table Moseley family Dmitri Mendeleev developed a chartlike arrangement of the elements he called the __(1)__. He stated that if the elements were listed in order of increasing __(2)__, their properties repeated in a regular manner. He called this the __(3)__ of the elements. The arrangement used today, devised by __(4)__, differs from that of Mendeleev in that the elements are arranged in order of increasing __(5)__. Each horizontal row of elements is called a(n) __(6)__. Each vertical column is called a(n) __(7)__, or, because of the resemblance between elements in the same column, a(n) __(8)__. In rows 4-7, there is a wide central section containing elements, each of which is called a(n) __(9)__. Rows 6 and 7 also contain two other sets of elements that are listed below the main chart. These are called the __(10)__ and the __(11)__, respectively. Each of these elements, as well as those in the first two columns at the left end of the chart, is classified as a(n) __(12)__. Each of the elements at the right side of the chart is classified as a(n) __(13)__. Each of the elements between these two main types of elements, having some properties in common with each, is called a(n) __(14)__. Each of the elements in the column labeled 1 is called a(n) __(15)__. Each of the elements in the column labeled 2 is called a(n) __(16)__. Each of the elements in column 17 is called a(n) __(17)__. Each of the elements in column 18 is called a(n) __(18)__.Which sections of the periodic table correspond to various energy sub-levels?
What are the most dangerous Periodic Table elements? Sorry if im posting in the wrong section i'm new ;3?
Periodic Table Project help?
I know I should post this in the homework help section, but no one helps there and I didnt get any responses. so yeah anyway.. So we have to make a period table of "elements" for science class. This is the rubric: Create a periodic table with atleast 4 FAMILIES, 3 PERIODS, and atleast 15 "ELEMENTS." families and periods need to have logical definitions. Families must be connected through gradual change along the periods. DO NOT try to make your elements related to the real ones (first letters, symbols, etc.), and don't try to match the shape of the real table. Include information on your elements (like the real table includes mass and atomic number) I want to do mine on music, but I'm having trouble trying to figure that out. At first I had a great idea but it didn't show gradual change. Any help? Any ideas?Chemistry questions about electrons and the periodic table?
So, I have a chemistry test next week and we got this work sheet to help us study, only thing is, I don't know how to do some of the problems. They are all questions about like the periodic table and electrons and stuff. So if you any ideas on any of these questions, let me know, I need to know how to do them not just answers, thanks! 1) Give the symbol of the element of the lowest atomic number that has: (not multiple choice, need to answer a,b,c. requires knowladge of periodic table) a: A completed p sublevel b: two 3d elections c: four 3p elections 2) Give the symbols of all the elements have have: a: No p elections b: From two to four d elections c: From two to four s electrons 3) Give the number of unpaired elections in an atom of: (how do you find or know if they're unpaired electrons?) a: N b: Mg c: Ti 4) In what main group(s) of the Periodic Table do elements have the following numbers of unpaired electrons per atom? a: 0 b: 1 c: 2 d: 3 5) Assign a set of quantum numbers to: a: The 4s electron in potassium b: All the 3d electrons Co c: All the p electrons in.
