6th grade science lesson plan?
Hey everyone! Does anyone have a fun way to teach kids about compounds? I am doing fieldwork right now in a classroom and the teacher wants me to teach a lesson about compounds right after she introduces the periodic table, so it cannot be too advanced. I don't even know where to start..any ideas whatsoever would be helpful! Thanks!How Do I Learn the Elements of the Periodic Table?
Okay, so I'm doing a home course with Science..and the quiz is asking me the different properties (atomic number, mass, symbol) of some of the elements. Since It doesn't tell me which ones I'll need to know for the exam..I'm a bit overwhelmed trying to learn them all. Any tips or tricks you guys know? I'm awful with remembering them, especially the ones that use their latin names for their symbols! Thanks! For the record, this is a HOME course so I have no teacher. Just text books. Each lesson has a quiz at the end. My quiz asked me for characteristics of 4 specific elements. I didn't know these, because I hadn't tried to learn the whole table. Thusly, I'm unsure of what questions the EXAM will make me answer. :) I'd rather be safe than sorry. Thanks for the suggestions so far. Also, I don't know if the exam will let me look at the book or not. So reference may not be an option.Im 15 and im really into acting?

Alloyium (Am): This is a relatively rare metal that is often used as a hardening agent in metal alloys/mixtures. It is the second lightest metal on the periodic table. Metium (Me): This is a very reactive metal, and the metal with the lowest mass on the entire periodic table. Softium (So): This is a soft metal that can be cut with a dull knife, but it can be very explosive when exposed to water. It has an atomic mass of 23 amu. Bananium (Bn): This element has similar chemical properties to Softium and Metium, but is heavier than both. Abundium (A): This is the ninth most abundant element in the universe.
